When is killing a Palestinian child “savage”?
Answer: when the murder or murderers are other Palestinians.
Charles Gibson seems truly disgusted - as he should be. Children being gunned down for any reason, let alone just because of who their father is - is truly disgusting.
However, 168 Palestinian children have been killed by the Israeli army between January and October of 2006. That slaughter is disgusting, as has the killing of 2 Israeli children by Palestinians.
Unfortunately, I’ve never seen any such expression from Gibson when referring to the shooting or bombing of Palestinian children by the Israeli occupying forces.
The clip below is of CNN covering the funerals of the children gunned down Friday. I don’t remember the last time I saw pictures of Palestinian children who were killed.
Below that is another clip from CNN, this one covering the massacre in Gaza on November 8, 2006.
On November 8, 2006 Israel army fired artillery shells into the home of a Palestinian family while they slept. 18 people were killed, including 8 children. Unfortunately, we do not have a clip of Charles Gibson reporting that massacre (email us if you have that clip).
