Palestinian Prime Minister Haniya blocked from entering Gaza by Israel

Palestinian prime minister Ismail Haniya was prevented from returning to Gaza today after a trip to several other countries. Israel, who holds the keys to the prison that is Gaza, said he was carrying money for militants that would be used for “terror”.

So the attempt to starve the people of Palestine by Israel and the United States continues despite the fact that every person to speak to the Iraq study group expressed the importance of solving the Israel Palestine conflict. Prime Minister Blair in an interview with George Stephanopolis placed the importance above the recommendations for talks with Iran and Syria.

Further humiliation and starvation is not a good way to begin solving this conflict.

The New York Times is now reporting that Prime Minister Haniya has entered Gaza but without the money.

For her part Hala Gorani seems genuinely shocked that the Palestinian prime minister is stuck at the border. However, the text on the screen, as shown in the picture conveys Israel’s message clearly. There is no mention of the absolutely dire circumstances that people are living under in Gaza, which is much more likely what the money is for.
